This year saw the release of many romantic films, and Mannu Kya Karegga was one of them. The movie might not have made a huge splash right away, but it slowly started gaining attention. Vyom, the lead of Mannu Kya Karegga, spoke openly about how the movie has been received compared to big-banner films like Saiyaara and Param Sundari.
Vyom On Maddock And YRF Massive Buzz And Visibility
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, he shared, “Honestly, I believe every film has its own journey. Big-banner films usually make a splash in the first three or four days because of the names, budgets, and marketing power attached to them. It’s like a sprint, all eyes are on them right from the start.”
He went on to say, “For newer banners like ours, it’s more of a marathon. The film may not explode at the box office immediately, but over time, it finds its audience through the story, performances, music, and word of mouth. And with Mannu Kya Karegga, we’ve been receiving so much love from people who have actually seen it, they’ve connected with the story, the concept, the performances, and the music. Of course, competing in a year where two or three big films are released almost every week is tough. But even amidst that, for a new production house and a film with fresh faces to make its mark, that’s a big win for us.”
“Big studios like Maddock or YRF can generate massive buzz even before release, thanks to their visibility and marketing budgets. We may not have that yet, but what we do have is strong content and the belief that with each project, we’re building something that will last. So yes, I see Mannu Kya Karegga as a success. It’s our first step, and I’m proud of the reception it’s getting. As we move forward with the next projects, both for me and for our banner Curious Eye Cinema. I’m confident this marathon will eventually turn into that sprint everyone talks about,” he concluded.
