Karan Johar scored a double fashion victory at the Met Gala 2026. Karan Johar Stuns At Met Gala 2026 Afterparty

Karan Johar showcases his Maharaja-inspired jewellery at the Met Gala 2026 afterparty. For the after-party, Karan opted for a minimal yet refined silhouette. He wore a relaxed black shirt with a few buttons casually undone, layered under a sharp blazer, paired with classic tailored trousers. Delicate embellished detailing along the waistline and blazer hem added a subtle couture touch to the monochrome ensemble, ensuring it remained sophisticated yet striking.

He complemented the look with a statement multi-gemstone necklace from Tyaani Jewellery. It drew heavily from India’s royal heritage. The piece featured rich emerald tones, ruby-colored stones, antique gold detailing, and intricate craftsmanship. It echoed the grandeur of jewels once worn by Indian Maharajas. The structured design also subtly drew inspiration from traditional temple architecture. He finished the look with bold rings rooted in Kundan and Jadau craftsmanship, oversized gemstones, layered halos, and vintage-inspired gold finishes. It combined regal elegance with modern flair.

Interestingly, Karan wore the same jewellery on the red carpet earlier that evening. It demonstrated his versatility to anchor two distinct looks in one night. Signature black sunglasses and polished shoes completed the after-party styling, maintaining an elegant vibe that let the jewellery shine.

Karan Johar’s Met Gala 2026 Look

Karan made his highly anticipated Met Gala debut in a custom Manish Malhotra creation titled Framed in Eternity. The ensemble featured a sharply tailored power-shouldered jacket. He paired with a nearly six-foot-long cape adorned with hand-painted motifs. The look was inspired by the legendary Indian painter Raja Ravi Varma, including lotuses, ornate pillars, and swans. Finished with layered embroidery and luminous painted surfaces, the look transformed him into a living canvas celebrating Indian art on the world’s biggest fashion stage.
