5 Reasons why you should surely watch Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Phillauri’
After a long time, we would see a funny and harmless ghost making it to the big screen. The story is about Anushka Sharma aka Shashi aka a spirit who resides on a tree. And then gets married to a boy who is supposedly a manglik. Going by Indian traditions, a manglik has to marry a tree before getting married to a human. Isn't this just funny and weird? But there's a twist too! Anushka aka Shashi has a dramatic and emotional back story that dates back to an era when love was felt in its purest form. Shashi had a lover in Diljit Dosanjh but what happens to that love, you will have to go and watch the film.
Diljit Dosanjh made everyone his fan with his impeccable performance in 'Udta Punjab'. It was his debut Bollywood film, but he was simply flawless. His simplicity attracted the audience the most and well, in 'Phillauri', it's just the extension of it. Though we didn't get to see him much in the trailer, but whatever we saw of him, Diljit just wooed our heart.
The music of 'Phillauri' is extremely soulful and lovable. The album consists of some entertaining and foot tapping numbers like 'Naughty Billo' and 'Bajaake Tumba', while it also has the most romantic songs of this season, 'Dum Dum' and 'Sahiba'. Not to miss, Anushka has rapped for the time in her life, for the song 'Naughty Billo'.
Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh's chemistry!
It's a fresh pair and somewhere a mismatched one too! Despite this, their magic works. Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh have portrayed the most innocent, pure and sweet kind of love through their act that we have probably not witnessed for a long time in Hindi films.
This boy gave out a very brave performance in his first film 'Life of Pi' and from there, he has jumped on to play a befuddled NRI in 'Phillauri'. Isn't that a drastic shift? We look forward to Suraj showcasing his acting prowess in this film.
