Nowadays, a film’s success is usually judged by its box office numbers. While some managed to score big, some fail to create some spark at the box office. As Prashanth Neel directorial venture has now claimed the second spot in the Highest-grossing movie list and beaten mega movies like RRR, Dangal and even Avengers: Endgame, we have compiled the top 10 movies which have soared high at the box office to become the top highest-grosser of all time.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion – Rs. 1346.90 crores

The haunting question, ‘Why Kattapa killed Baahubali’ was enough to pull the audience to the theatres. The first part of the film ended on a cliffhanger note and fans were literally psyched to know more about the film. SS Rajamouli directorial venture turned out to be successful as it kept smashing and creating box office records. In India, Baahubali 2 has collected Rs 1346.90 crores in the domestic markets, claiming the top spot in the list.

K.G.F. Chapter 2 – Rs. 892 crores Approx (20 days)

The film that has been setting the cash registers on fire is KGF 2. The magnetic performance of Yash and the grandness of the film have impressed the audience. The Hindi version of the film collected Rs 381.30 crores while in all versions, it has raked in Rs. 892 crores in India, securing the second position in the list.

RRR – Rs. 887 crores Approx (40 days)

Another film by SS Rajamouli that has made it to the list is RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR. As the movie was also released in multiple languages, the movie has managed to collect Rs 887 crores in the domestic markets. Given the fact that Rajamouli has Baabubali’s success, fans were pretty excited for his next venture which too turned out to be pretty good.

Dangal – Rs. 511.30 crores

Aamir Khan is actually known to be the opener of box office clubs despite releasing one film in a year. Mr Perfectionist’s films have managed to bring in good numbers and Dangal was no exception. The film has collected Rs. 511.30 crores which are pretty commendable.

2.0 – Rs. 508.50 crores

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 aka Robot 2 was touted to be one of the most expensive films of all time. From adding high-level VFX to making the sci-fi as real as possible, the film compelled the audience to watch in the theatres as the movie has managed to collect Rs 508.50 crores at the box office.

Baahubali: The Beginning – Rs. 482 crores

Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer Baahubali who is said to have opened the gates for South Indian movies to be a pan-India film was a mega success back in 2015. The film clocked in Rs 482 crores at the box office.

PK – Rs. 455 crores

Another film of Aamir Khan that did wonders at the box office is PK which also starred Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was one of the most successful movies of 2014 which raked in Rs 455 crores.

Avengers: Endgame – Rs. 442.70 crores

Interestingly, this is the only English film that has made it to the list. It looks like KGF 2 has beaten Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk and even the mighty Thor at the box office as it has collected Rs 442.70 crores at the box office.

Tiger Zinda Hai – Rs. 434.70 crores

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger Zinda Hai is a franchise of Ek Tha Tiger. The film managed to score well as it brought Rs 434.70 crores.

Sanju – Rs. 434.30 crores

Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor starrer Sanju was also a successful venture. It is probably the first film of Ranbir to achieve that feat. The film minted Rs. 434.30 crores.
