Bollywood stars who quit smoking
Being a determined family man, Aamir Khan, had to quit smoking for his kids. His son Junaid and Ira helped him cut down on smoking while his youngest son Azad Rao Khan was an encouragement to kick the habit completely.
Generally considered to be a very disciplined man, Ajay Devgn had this habit of smoking as frequently as possible. But his wife Kajol was completely against it and hence, he had to quit smoking.
Arjun Rampal too was a chain smoker, but for the sake of this two adorable daughters, he gave up on this habit. He is now fit and healthy doting father with no bad habit.
Hrithik Roshan sought the help of the book named 'The Easy Way to Quit Smoking' written by Allen Carr to over come this ill-habit of smoking and he turned out to be successful in doing so.
Konkona Sen Sharma
Konkana Sen Sharma decided to quit smoking post her pregnancy. She was once a heavy smoker and could not even spend an hour without smoking, but her child introduced to healthy way of living.
Kapoor lad, Ranbir Kapoor, who once could not live without smoking, has apparently quit smoking. He has switched to e-hookahs to over come his urge for cigarettes.
Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, who started smoking at the age of 16, had suffered a life threat because of this bad habit. In one of the interviews he had revealed that he had to visit to the hospital because of a heart condition and doctors informed him that it was because of his smoking. Since then he decided to never smoke again.
Ever since Salman Khan started paying attention to his health and became the global icon for fitness, he decided to kick the butt to continue to stay fit. He has also cut down on the consumption of alcohol say the reports.
Even though Vivek Oberoi might have portrayed characters that of a chain smoker in his films, he has quit smoking in real life. In fact, he actively participates in anti-smoking campaigns and refrains from encouraging youth from smoking.
Veteran actor Nana Patekar was once addicted to smoking, but after his sister confronted him, he was forced to quit. In one of his interviews he had said, "One day my sister told me that I will lose my one brother soon." When asked why she replied, "Because you (Nana Patekar) smoke so many , You are not going to live more than 2-3 years." Since then he gave up smoking.
