Instead, she enrolled into a yogashram at Uttarakhand. What for, you ask? She says she has learnt lovemaking in its tantric form which has helped her reach higher consciousness.

Barkha Madan was a popular model, TV and film actress, and a producer; until the Buddhist philosophy cast its charm on her in 2012. She turned a Buddhist nun and renamed herself Gyalten Samsen.

Mamta Kulkari

Mamta Kulkarni has been a part of many successful films including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali. But well, it has been more than a decade that we didn't see her anywhere close to showbiz. Mamta has completely given up on the glamorous aspect of her life that she earlier used to enjoy the most and doesn't even think of a comeback in acting.

Sofia Hayat

Renowned model Sofia Hayat entered our drawing rooms as she participated in the popular television reality show 'Bigg Boss'. However, Sofia has turned a nun and calls herself 'Gaia Sofia Mother' now! She even took to Instagram and wrote “We are beautiful without makeup…hair colour…fashion… We are perfect as we are. I’m sorry I gave you the impression otherwise. I am changed. I love you all. Gaia Sofia Mother.” [sic] Sofia has got 'Om' inked on her forehead, wears a scarf around her head now and is a vegetarian.

Manisha Koirala has recently won a tough battle against cancer. We don't know if that was what made her believe in the almighty; but she surely is more inclined towards religion and spirituality now. She was also spotted taking part in a religious procession at Haridwar. She attended the holy bathe of 'Maha Kumbh' at Ujjain.

Tanushree, in 2004, won the 'Femina Miss India Universe' title. She was introduced to Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya and Sonu Sood starrer 'Aashiq Banaya Apne'. She is missing for years now, and we hear she travels to ashrams across India in search of spirituality and inner peace!
