Are the makers of ‘Padmavati’ still not sure about shooting the film in Rajasthan?

We all know that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was attacked in Jaipur while he was shooting his magnum-opus ‘Padmavati’ in the state. After that incident, the shooting was stalled. However, recently Shahid confirmed that he will start shooting for the film soon. It is said that the actor will resume his shoot in Mumbai Film City. Reportedly, Deepika Padukone too was to start shooting for the film by the end of this month.

While shooting with Shahid will start in Mumbai, it is not yet confirmed if the makers will be returning to Rajasthan for completing the shoot. A source from the unit told a tabloid, “After the incident, we don’t know what the status is. Initially, there was talk about us returning to Rajasthan, but the final call will be taken by the producers. We might return later, but for now, we will start filming in Mumbai.  Everyone is unsure about the safety of the cast and crew there. Unless we have the state’s support, we cannot go there.”

According to the reports in the tabloid, the officials of the Jaigarh Fort haven’t received any news from the makers about them returning for the shoot. (Also Read: Shahid Kapoor all set to resume the shooting of ‘Padmavati’)

The movie also stars Ranveer Singh and is slated to release on November 17, 2017.
