CBFC creates rift between the makers of 'Udta Punjab'?

Udta Punjab’ is co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures (Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor) and Phantom films (Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena). We all know that the film is facing issues with CBFC and according to a Bollywood portal, this has apparently created a rift between the two production houses.

It is said that Balaji is ready to take the cuts and release the film on June 17, but Phantom wants to fight for it.

A source said, “Jeetendra and Balaji Telefilms are ready to go by the censor baord’s cuts as long as the film gets to be released on time on June 17. On the other hand Anurag Kashyap on behalf of Phantom won’t accept a single cut and is ready to fight it out with the censors for as long as it takes.”

Well, probably Balaji may back out of ‘Udta Punjab’, if they cannot see eye to eye with their co-producers.
