Tamil actor Vijay has moved court and filed a civil lawsuit against his parents and others for misusing his name for political purposes. The Master actor has moved court against 11 people including his parents, SA Chandrasekhar and Shobha Chandrasekhar. As per reports, the court is likely to hear the matter on September 27.

As per a report in IANS, the Vijay Makkal Mandram had announced that they would be contesting the rural local body elections that will be on October 6 and October 9 in nine Tamil Nadu districts, and Vijay contended that it was his parents who had permitted the registered society of his fans to contest elections as independent candidates.

Vijay, in the civil suit, has sought a stay on the conduct of any meetings or activities using his name against his parents and the 11 respondents. The actor had distanced himself from the activities of the Vijay Makkal Mandram.

For the unversed, this society was registered by his father. Thalapathy Vijay’s moved to the Madras High Court in January this year and his counsel said that Vijay’s father had registered a political party All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Mandram without the Bigil actor’s consent. One of their relatives Padmanabhan was appointed as the leader, Vijay’s mother Shoba was the treasurer and his father as General Secretary. Post this, fans started assuming that Vijay will enter politics but he rubbished all the rumours and said that he is not involved with the party formed by his father.
