Chris Evans named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine: My Mom will be happy

Hollywood actor Chris Evans is best known for playing Captain America in Marvel films. The actor has been named by People magazine as the Sexiest Man Alive. The news was announced Monday night on Stephen Colbert’s late-night show and on the magazine’s website. Evans has taken the baton from another Avenger, Paul Rudd.

Speaking to the Magazine for its cover story the actor said that his mother will be quite happy, as she’s proud of everything he does and she can brag about it.

Reacting to being named 2022’s Sexiest Man Alive by People, Chris Evans said, “My mom will be so happy. She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about. Really this will just be a point of bullying.”

Among those who are likely to tease him are Paul Rudd, Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth. Hemsworth, who plays Thor in the Marvel films was the first Avenger to win People’s annual honour.  Others who won this honour are John Legend, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum and David Beckham.

On the work front, Chris Evans recently voiced the character of Buzz Lightyear in Lightyear for Pixar. He was also seen in the Netflix action film, The Gray Man. Next on the pipeline is David Yates’ Pain Hustlers with Emily Blunt.

Evans will collaborate with Dwayne Johnson in the holiday film Red One for Amazon Studios. He will next be seen playing the role of Gene Kelly in an untitled film that he is producing and starring in.  The actor will also be seen with Ana de Armas for the Apple TV+ film Ghosted, slated for next year.
