She won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 1977 for her performance in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall, a role that became iconic and solidified her status as one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors.

Born Diane Hall in Los Angeles in 1946, Keaton was the eldest of four children. Her father was a civil engineer, and her mother, a homemaker with creative aspirations, inspired her artistic spirit. Reflecting on her early ambitions, Keaton told People in 2004, “Secretly, in her heart of hearts, she probably wanted to be an entertainer of some kind.”
