Matt Reeves directorial The Batman is one of the most awaited films. The superhero film will see Robert Pattinson taking on the mantle of the Dark Knight. The makers have unveiled a new teaser clip from the DC film. It is all about an intense altercation at a funeral.

The two-minute-long teaser clip takes place at a funeral of a law enforcement. A man ominously silhouetted against the light on a gallery above, is spotted by Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson). The proceedings are interrupted as a car crashes into the building. Once the doors open, we see a previously missing man. He has an armed bomb around his neck with a note attached to his body that reads – “to the Batman”.

The synopsis of The Batman reads as, “Two years of stalking the streets as the Batman, striking fear into the hearts of criminals, has led Bruce Wayne deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies — Alfred Pennyworth, Lt. James Gordon — amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.”

Warner Bros’ The Batman also features Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Kravitz as Catwoman, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Real, Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth.

It will hit theatres on March 4, 2022.
