Weekend collection: ‘Veerappan’ roars while ‘Phobia’ goes slow at box-office

Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Veerappan‘, Radhika Apte’s ‘Phobia’ and Kalki Koechlin’s ‘Waiting’ were the three competitors that clashed at the box-office this Friday and well, they have proved to be really good competitors. Ram Gopal Varma’s take on the life of gangster Veerappan has been leading the war by racking in approximately 4.50 crore over the weekend.

According to the latest statistics, ‘Veerappan’ took a huge leap on Sunday and managed to cross 4 crore mark at the box-office. Second in the list, ‘Phobia’ accumulated approximately 1.50 crore while ‘Waiting’ could manage 1.25 crore by the end of the weekend. Well, these films have only this week to perform better until Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Housefull 3’ makes it to the theatres coming Friday.

Well, let’s hope that the week turns out to be good for all three!
