Fukrey 2 actors Richa Chadha

We all are eagerly waiting for the sequel of ‘Fukrey’. The first part starred Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh, and all the actors will be also seen in the sequel of the film. However, the guys are not much happy with Richa Chadha, and the reason is very cheap. Well, it is said that the actors are not liking the fact that a female actor, Richa, is being paid more than them.

A source close to Richa said, “Bholi Punjaban was one of the most memorable characters from ‘Fukrey’. When the monies were negotiated, it was evident that Richa was meant to get higher than the rest, simply because her character was very much appreciated. The actors however haven’t taken to this well and there were some issues for the contracts to get locked. Nobody really has an option anymore as the shoot start in less than a fortnight.”

A unit member told a leading daily, “Payment to talent is based on their market value and their role in a film. Since Richa has a big part to play, she has been offered a lump sum amount. She has signed the contract and started prepping, which involves losing a lot of weight.”

The shooting of the film will kick start in next two weeks, and the guys have not yet signed the dotted lines. Ali Fazal has agreed to do the film, but is yet to sign the contract. Pulkit’s last film – ‘Junooniyat’, failed at the box office, so, he has not been offered as much money as Richa was. The unit member added, “Manjot had a bit role in ‘Azhar’, which bombed at the box office. Though Varun last did ‘Dilwale’, ‘Fukrey’ will help revive his mojo. None of them intends to back out of the project, but they are all yet to sign on the dotted line. They’re talking money and aren’t happy with Richa being paid more.”

An insider from the Excel Entertainment stated, “Arguments over payment are commonplace. These are minor hitches that eventually become irrelevant in the long run.”

When the tabloid contacted Varun Sharma, the actor refused to comment on it and Ali Fazal’s spokesperson said that as the actor is out of India he has not signed the contract, once he is back on November 11, he will sign it. Pulkit’s spokesperson said, “He has signed the contract and will start shooting in mid-November.”
