Ranbir Kapoor shooting for Sanjay Dutt's biopic

There is no doubt how much the fans are waiting to watch actor Sanjay Dutt’s biopic film on big screen. The look of actor Ranbir Kapoor leaked from the sets has created more buzz, and the latest is that the team is all set to head to New York for a schedule where primarily the rehabilitation scenes of the actor’s life will be shot.

Few days ago, director Rajkumar Hirani had himself revealed that the team will be heading to New York for a schedule. He said, “Shooting wise, 60 percent of the film is done. We are starting our next schedule now and will wrap that up by mid-June and after that, we will have another schedule in New York.” [sic]

And while this schedule will kickstart soon, a leading daily has reported that the team will be shooting the part of Sanjay’s life that was spent in a rehabilitation clinic in Texas. Sanjay Dutt had spent over two years of his life at this rehabilitation clinic. The shoot might take place in real locations as well.

Well, we know that director Rajkumar Hirani wants this to be as authentic as can be. And as concerns Ranbir, it will be another challenge for him to understand Sanjay’s mindset during rehabilitation and bring alive the hard time onscreen.

The biopic also features Paresh Rawal as late Sunil Dutt and Dia Mirza as Dutt’s wife Maanayata. Manisha Koirala will be essaying the role of Sanjay Dutt’s mother, late actress Nargis.

Besides, there are also Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Anushka Sharma (in a cameo appearance) playing pivotal parts in it. Apparently, the film is targeted for a release in the month of December 2017.
