Pakistan officials have lately been super conscious about Bollywood films with sensitive topics releasing in their country.

The officials apparently woke up a day later to the release of the movie that it is based on the theme of international terrorism. A source close to the development says, “The Pakistani authorities seemed fine with the film. But a day after the film released they woke up to the fact that the theme of terrorism could reflect badly on Pakistan.”

The movie has now been pulled down from the theatres in Pakistan.

‘Naam Shabana’ was a spin off to Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Baby’, which had Taapsee’s character Shabana in an extended cameo.
