‘Jailer 2’ is scheduled to hit theatres on Thursday, October 15, strategically timed to coincide with the Dussehra holidays and a long festive weekend.

This release plan is expected to give the film a massive opening in both domestic and international markets. Interestingly, Dhanush and Mammootty’s OM has already been scheduled for an October 16 release. This has led to speculation that the makers of OM might reconsider their plans to avoid a direct clash at the box office with Rajinikanth’s film, which is now set to release a day earlier. However, no official statement has been made by the OM team regarding any changes.
