Ram Charan Heads To Coimbatore For Wrist Surgery After Sustaining Injury During Peddi Shoot

Ram Charan is scheduled to undergo wrist surgery at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore after delaying the procedure to honour his work commitments. The actor sustained an injury while filming his recently released movie Peddi and was seen leaving Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport for Coimbatore ahead of the surgery, which is set for July 27. Ram Charan Heads To Coimbatore For Wrist Surgery

Reports reveal that Ram Charan suffered a severe wrist sprain during the shoot of Peddi. Hyderabad doctors recommended surgery as the best long-term solution, but he postponed it to complete his promotional duties. The surgery will be performed at Ganga Hospital, renowned for its expertise in orthopaedic and hand-and-wrist procedures. A specialist in hand and wrist surgery is expected to carry out the operation, aiming for his full recovery before he returns to work.

Ram Charan’s family will accompany him throughout the process. His father, megastar Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha, wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela, and other close relatives have travelled to Coimbatore to support him during the surgery and recovery.

Ram Faced Several Injuries

This year, Ram Charan has already faced multiple injuries. Earlier, during the filming of Peddi, he sustained a serious forehead injury and underwent surgery at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad. Despite setbacks, he continued shooting and promoting the film before ultimately prioritising his health.

Notably, Ram Charan is the third member of the Mega family to undergo surgery this year. Chiranjeevi recently had shoulder surgery, and Pawan Kalyan underwent rotator cuff surgery in Mumbai and is currently recovering.

After the procedure, Ram Charan is expected to take a short break for rehabilitation before resuming work. Once fully recovered, he will reportedly begin preparations for his upcoming project with director Sukumar, which is scheduled to start later this year.
