Rana Daggubati has responded to his questioning by the SIT in connection with the betting app case, asserting that legal processes will proceed as required and that he will always adhere to the law. He also emphasized the importance of being cautious about the products he endorses. A month ago, the actor and producer was summoned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for questioning related to the case. He has now addressed the controversy and his involvement, speaking out during the launch of his alcohol brand.

On Saturday, while unveiling his liquor brand Loca Loca in Mumbai, Rana spoke to Bombay Times and said, “Legalities are always evolving. They will take their course. There is a law of the land, and we will always follow it.” Regarding how he associates his name with products, he added, “The foremost thing is ensuring the product is right—if the quality is good and what I’m endorsing is fair, that’s how mindful I am while attaching my name to anything.”

Last month, after his questioning, Rana had spoken to reporters outside the SIT office. PTI quoted him saying, “What happened has happened, and now we are focusing on communicating the right message about these gaming apps in the proper way.” ANI also reported him stating, “We will use the right channels to spread the correct message about gaming and gaming apps. The legal process will be completed later. I am here to do whatever is necessary to help convey the right message.”

The Telangana government established the SIT, led by the Additional Director General of Police and the CID, to combat illegal betting activities. Earlier this year, the Telangana police filed FIRs against 25 celebrities and influencers. It included Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Vijay Deverakonda, and Manchu Lakshmi, for allegedly promoting illegal gambling apps on social media.
