RRR Oscars 2023: Ram Charan, Jr NTR and SS Rajamouli thank and congratulate India for the historic win of Naatu Naatu

Monday morning brought a lot of glory for Indian cinema as two projects from the country bagged the golden statuette at Oscars 2023. The first win came with Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves bagging the Best Documentary Short award for The Elephant Whisperers. RRR song Naatu Naatu won the second award at Oscars 2023 in the Best Original Song category. To express their joy, director SS Rajamouli and his lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR have thanked the nation in their own ways.

Ram Charan pens a heartfelt note post Oscars 2023 win

Ram Charan took to his twitter and wrote, “We have won!! We have won as Indian Cinema!! We won as a country!! The Oscar Award is coming home! (sic),” along with a heartfelt note. The note read, “RRR is and will always remain as the most special film of our lives and of Indian Cinema history. I can’t thank everyone enough for manifesting the Oscar Award. It still feels like I am living in a dream. Thank you all for the unstoppable support and love. SS Rajamouli Garu and MM Keeravani Garu are the most precious gems of our Indian film industry. Thank you both for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this masterpiece.”

The note further read, “Naatu Naatu is an emotion across the globe. Thank you lyricist Chandrabose Garu, singers Rahul Sipliguni & Kaala Bhairava and choreographer Prem Rakshith for bringing together this emotion. To my co-star Tarak- Thank you brother! I hope to dance with you and create records again. Thank you Alia Bhatt for being the sweetest co-star. This award belongs to every Indian actor, technician and film goer. My heartfelt thanks to all the fans across the world for all the love and support. This is our country’s win!”

Jr NTR poses with Oscars trophy

Jr NTR also celebrated the historic win by sharing a picture of him posing with the Oscar trophy. He wrote, “And we did it… #Oscars95#NaatuNaatu#RRRMovie Congratulations @mmkeeravaani Sir ji, Jakkanna @ssrajamouli, @boselyricist garu, the entire team and the nation (sic)”.

SS Rajamouli had a very short and sweet reaction on his social media for India after RRR won at Oscars 2023. Just using two words he made the whole nation proud of the achievement. The filmmaker wrote, “Jai Hind,” with the emoji of the tricolour.
