Salman Khan granted bail

Bollywood superstar is a relieved man, as the High Court has granted him permission to travel to Dubai. Salman Khan who was invited to perform at an awards show in Dubai with other Bollywood celebrities, had forwarded an appeal at the High Court to do so. Vacation judge Justice Shalini Phansalkar-Joshi while allowing the actor imposed certain terms and conditions.

Salman Khan not only has to furnish his entire travel itinerary of three days:May 27 to May 30 but he will also have to inform the authorities about his flight number, details of where he was going to stay in the foreign country. In addition, he also has to give his cell as well as landline number of the place he is supposed to stay at.

Along with all this Salman Khan had to furnish an additional security of Rs. 2 lakh apart from informing the Indian consulate of his arrival when he reaches Dubai. The same will apply on his return. Salman will have handover his passport to the investigating agency within 12 hours of his arrival back in India, said Justice Phansalkar-Joshi.

Salman Khan was convicted on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the 2002 hit-and-run case in which one man died and four were injured. But the High Court had granted him Bail, as well as suspended his jail term.
