Ever since the news of SS Rajamouli collaborating with Mahesh Babu for a grand, adventure film made the headlines, fans of both the superstar and director haven’t been able to keep calm. When reports of Priyanka Chopra joining the cast of the film – that will feature several countries, began circulating, the hype only kept increasing. And today, as Mahesh celebrates his 50th birthday, the filmmaker has shares an exciting update.

A while ago, SS Rajamouli took to his social media and shared a poster featuring Mahesh Babu with a deep V-Neck tunic with blood dripping down his neck. Hinting at a possible religious angle, the poster features the actor wearing a pendal with Shiv ji’s Trishul and his beloved ox, Nandi hanging from a beaded chain. He simply captioned it, “The First Reveal in November 2025… #GlobeTrotter“

Around the same time, he also shared a thoughtful note. In this thoughtful but concise post – captioned “For all the admirers of my #GlobeTrotter…”, Rajamouli wrote, “Dear Cinema Lovers in India and around the world, as well as fans of Mahesh, It has been a while since we began shooting, and we appreciate your eagerness to know about the film.”

Explaining why it’s taking them time to unveil a first-look, the filmmaker continued, “However, the story and scope of this film are so vast that I feel mere pictures or press conferences cannot do it justice. We are currently working on something to showcase the essence, depth, and immersive world we are creating. This will be unveiled in November 2025, and we are trying to make it a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN reveal. Thank you all for your patience. – SS Rajamouli”

SSMB29 is described as a globe-trotting jungle adventure. Reports claim Mahesh Babu will portray a rugged explorer reminiscent of Indiana Jones, inspired by African tales; however, an official plot description has not yet been announced.
