The Coronavirus scare is still making everyone to be in the confines of their homes. During the unlock phase several television shows have resumed the shoots following all the safety guidelines. However, not all actors are comfortable in resuming shoots despite the Coronavirus scare.

Avneet Kaur, known for playing Yasmine in ‘Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga’ has quit the show due to Covid-19 scare. Now actress Ashi Singh of ‘Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai‘ fame will be replacing Avneet.

Revealing why she quit the show, Avneet told Time of India, “I decided to leave the show because of the coronavirus crisis. I suffered from dengue last year but resumed work despite my immunity not being strong. There was the stress of preparing for my board exams, too, at that time. It made me really weak. So, I am scared of resuming shoots at the moment. My parents and I decided that it’s better for me to quit. I am sad, but health comes first.”

Whereas talking about stepping into Avneet’s shoes, Ashi told the daily, “I never wanted to replace anyone, as it’s difficult to surpass the benchmark set by the original actor. However, what has worked in my favour is the three-month break; now, the audience will have to reconnect with all the shows and it will be easier for them to accept a new face.”

Ashi is happy to take up ‘Aladdin’ as she never thought of being a part of a fantasy show. She is even excited about performing action for the first time on screen.

We are sure Avneet’s fans will be heartbroken but as she said health comes first we hope they will support her decision.
