Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly gets the BEST ‘distanced’ birthday surprise from family while in COVID quarantine

Birthdays are special. Each one of us wishes to celebrate it with our loved ones and family. Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly might have thought the same this year until her COVID 19 test results came positive. Just a few days before her birthday, Rupali Ganguly tested positive for COVID. So, yesterday (April 5), as she turned a year older, Rupali was quarantined at home. 

But, her family, did not forget to make her birthday extra special and make her feel extra loved, even though they were far from her. Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly received the warmest and most loving ‘distance’ birthday surprise from her family. Yes, Rupali’s husband, son, and her family members cut a cake outside her residential building to mark the birthday. 

Rupali watched them from the window and recorded this unique way of celebrating birthdays amid the COVID-19 crisis. Her family also sang the ‘Happy Birthday’ song to cheer her mood and make her feel loved. The actress was touched by their efforts and took to her Instagram handle to share the adorable videos with a heartwarming note. 

When ur family decides to make it special despite the quarantine. “Awww. Thank u @vijayganguly @ashwinkverma for making the efforts and making my Rudransh, my little Jojo bunny cut the cake. Thank u @abhishake_pai child @j.p.malhotra. Soon we shall all celebrate together. PS- please ignore my scary laughter. Quarantine day 4! Can’t smell anything anymore,” Rupali wrote. Teasing Rupali, her husband, Vijay commented, “Hahaha what a fun party we had!!! Yeah bhi kar liya. Haha.”

Rupali Ganguly aka Anupamaa tested COVID positive on Thursday and self-isolated herself immediately. The show’s producer Rajan Shahi and Rupali’s onscreen elder son Aashish Mehrotra, have also been diagnosed with the disease.
