Ishita Dixit

Ishita Dixit has been getting tons of love and notice for her performance as Pari in Anupamaa, one of Indian television’s most-watched shows currently. Despite being a pretty new name in the industry, Ishita is known for how well she handles and delivers emotionally demanding sequences on screen with confidence. Recently, the actress spoke to us about many things, including what goes on behind the scenes before she performs intense sequences and how she gets herself into the right frame of mind.

Ishita Dixit: I Use Music To Connect With My Emotions

For Ishita, preparing for a heavy scene is not something that happens the moment the camera starts rolling. She likes to slow down, spend time alone and mentally settle into the situation her character is about to face. She shares, “Music always works for me. Whenever I have an intense scene coming up, I need some time by myself before the shoot. I can’t jump straight into it.”

She further explains that listening to music helps her access emotions that might otherwise be difficult to reach. She noted that this has become a routine she relies on whenever a scene requires a deeper emotional response. She reveals, “I usually need around an hour before the scene. That time helps me prepare and understand where my character is emotionally. Once I have done that, I feel ready to perform. I use music to connect with my emotions. That’s why it’s such an important part of my preparation.”

During the same interaction, Ishita Dixit also got candid about the type of projects she would like to start in post Anupamaa. Click the link below to read all about that.
