A week back, Ashiesh was admitted to the ICU. In a gut-wrenching post, the actor asked his friends and fans for financial help via social media. Fortunately, the ‘Remix’ actor is better now and currently, his dialysis is on. Commenting on the support he has received, the actor told Hindustan Times, “I feel grateful for all the love and support I have been receiving. I never expected so much. I have led a dignified life all this while. Nahi socha thha ki aisa bhi din dekhna padhega. I plan to return all the help once the shooting of my TV show commences.”

Revealing how no one from his family could take care of him in such times, Ashiesh said, “I regret not getting married. I wish I had a companion to at least speak to in such times. I have a sister who is married and stays in Kolkata. The situation there is very bad after the cyclone, and so she too can’t travel. I’m just looking forward to getting better and going back to work.”

Owing to the Covid-19 lockdown, shootings of films and shows have been halted. And that has badly affected the livelihood of actors who are paid on a daily basis.
