Rubina Dilaik has worked hard and managed to carve her niche in the entertainment industry. The actress has won the hearts of millions with her acting and continues to do so even today. Rubina is popularly known for the roles she played in the shows Choti Bahu and Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. Dilaik gained immense popularity after she appeared on Bigg Boss 14 and went on to win the title of the controversial show. Like several other actors, even Dilaik has faced financial lows during her career. As Rubina Dilaik was the first guest on the second season of Her Story, the actress spoke at length on the problems she faced during her career, producers cheating her, losing on money, and financial lows.

Rubina told Bollywood Bubble, “I am talking about 2011. My both the seasons were over and, my payments were due for almost nine months. And religiously and earnestly, I used to call my production house, then my producer, visit the office, again and again, pleading ‘Please de dijiye (please give me). I have bought a house, I have bought a place, EMIs are too high’.

The Bigg Boss 14 winner further added, “And some or the other reason, aaj nahi kal (not today tomorrow), okay meet me, spoken to the network ahead and this and that.” She even mentioned that in this process, nine months had passed away.

Dilaik shared, “Finally, I said, just meet me once, I just need to know and understand what’s happening.” The actress then mentioned how she got a ledger with uplinks. She said, “My uplinks were worth Rs 16 lakhs, in 2011. And honestly, none of the events were true. There were nine such events that were written.

Talking about this incident in detail, Rubina revealed she was devasted after it all. She said, “I was devastated. I had to sell off my house. My very own house in the city of dreams.” Dilaik added, “I had two houses at that point in time, I had to sell them off because I was way behind my commitments. I was way behind my EMIs. I sold off my car. From then I decided, no Mercedes and BMWs, it’s okay. I don’t want to live in uncertainty, insecurity, and constant anxiety.

Rubina said that the incident has become a learning lesson for her. She shared, “Then, I was ignorant about that people can manipulate and play with your own hard-earned money. But I had to adhere to it because I did not know, I am being trapped.
