Indian Idol 12: Neha Kakkar extends Rs 3 lakh aid to families of missing labourers after Uttarakhand disaster

Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district witnessed flash floods on February 7 which left almost 135 people missing while 70 people dead. The Uttarakhand disaster left everyone in shock. According to the media, the local administration is now considering issuing death certificates to the families of those missing. In the upcoming episode of Indian Idol Season 12, a contestant by the name of Pawandeep will be seen dedicating a song to those missing due to a glacier that broke at Chamoli district. Pawandeep will sing the song in a special episode “India Ki Farmaish” in which the contestants will be seen singing what their fans wished.

Before singing, Pawandeep will also request the Uttarakhand CM to search for the people missing. Neha Kakkar is moved by his performance and joins him in requesting to come forward and help the families of the bereaved. Neha said, “You are an amazing singer which we all know, but you are an amazing human being too which is great. As you have come in support of the missing laborer’s and have urged everyone within your limits to help the families with necessities which is very nice. I am with you on this mission, I would like to donate 3 Lakhs Rupees to the families of our missing laborers from Uttarakhand and I urge everyone to come in support in helping the families. She adds, this is a calamity which occurred and we must help the families in the worst period of their lives”.

She further added today let’s do a prayer instead of Mausam Badal Gaya for the families who have suffered a tremendous loss.

Earlier, too Neha Kakkar had extended financial aid to those in need.
