EXCLUSIVE: Indian Idol 12 winner Pawandeep Ranjan says ‘It’s my childhood dream to playback for Salman Khan’

Indian Idol 12 got its winner in Pawandeep Ranjan this weekend. The reality show finally ended after eight months of being on air. Pawandeep was always one of the favourites since day one and it is not surprising to see him take away the trophy. In a candid and exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Pawandeep opened up on his journey and the eight months long wait to hold the trophy. He also shared if he would like to do independent music or playback is on his mind. Pawandeep also explained how he took the feedback he received and which actor he would like to playback for.

Expressing his happiness over bagging the trophy, Pawandeep Ranjan shared, “The journey of Indian Idol was very good. We would practice together and have given our heart and soul to everything. It was like our extended family and honestly, more than anything I will miss this the most. It wouldn’t have bothered me if I wouldn’t have gotten the trophy, the journey was so beautiful and I have seen everyone work very hard on it.” To celebrate the hard work, Pawandeep will be travelling to Kedarnath before resuming work.

Pawandeep Ranjan also shared that while he has grown up listening to playback songs, he is also open to independent music. He shared, “At the end of the day, whether it is independent music or Playback, it is still music. I am happy if both can co-exist.” If he could playback for someone, who would he want to? Pawandeep answers, “Salman Khan. It has always been my dream to sing for him and I hope it gets fulfilled soon. Even Indian Idol was a dream for me.”

Pawandeep Ranjan also shared that when he appreciates love and affection from people, he is also okay with feedback and criticism and is constantly working to win them over.
