Off late, former ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant, Mahira Sharma has been grabbing headlines for all the wrong reasons. Mahira had shared a post on social media thereby announcing that she has been awarded Dadasaheb Phalke Awards appreciation certificate for being the Most Fashionable ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant. However, later it was revealed that the certificate handed to her was a forged one when the officials of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) publicly pointed it out.

Reportedly, last week Mahira shared a post on her Instagram handle thereby stating that she is returning her certificate. However much, to everyone’s surprise, she soon deleted that post.

As per a report in SpotBoyE, Mahira took to her Instagram handle to announce that she would be returning her certificate. A part of her post read, “I would not have accepted it in the first place. Now, that the matter is clear, I would like to return the forged certificate and will take this incident as a learning experience. With all due respect to the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival, as a performer and an artiste I would love to earn this award in future, only and only by the officials of DPIFF(sic).”

Mahira said that a third party had handed her the certificate off-stage. After being called out by the Dadasaheb officials, the third-party apologised and the actress too emphasised on the fact that this incident was a case of miscommunication. And since she is not the one at fault, she won’t be apologising for someone else’s mistake.

Now the million-dollar question that arises is whether Mahira actually shared this post or is this just a fake post doing the rounds of social media. We hope the actress soon clarifies about this alleged post. Until then, you guys stay tuned to this space.
