Manoj Tiwari reveals his elder daughter persuaded him to remarry; opens up on tying the knot amidst lockdown

Actor and politician Manoj Tiwari welcomed his second daughter on December 30. The former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant recently opened up on having a hush-hush wedding to Surabhi during the lockdown and his equation with his first wife Rani. Tiwari also revealed that it was his elder daughter Rhiti who persuaded him to remarry.

Manoj Tiwari separated from his first wife Rani around 10 years ago. Recently, opening about his second marriage, Manoj told ETimes, “Surabhi and I got married in April during the lockdown. She used to look after my administrative work. Actually, she is a singer and has sung in one of my music videos. It was my daughter Rhiti who suggested Surabhi and I should tie the knot. She and Surabhi are very comfortable with each other.”

Speaking about his equation with his first wife, Manoj shared, “There’s no kadvaahat; we are absolutely fine with each other. I was very tense when I separated from Rani in 2010 at her insistence. Zindagi kuch ajeeb si ho gayi thi uske baad.”

The actor-singer also said that his elder daughter is so happy about the birth of his second child that she has decided to name her. “Rhiti will name my newborn after she lands. The two sisters haven’t met and I am looking forward to it. She did see the newborn over a video call but meeting in person is better,” Tiwari said.
