Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a transgender steals the spotlight in the revenge drama Haddi trailer

A while ago, Sushmita Sen left an everlasting impact as Gauri in her webseries, Taali. She grabbed attention and received heaps of appreciation for her character of a transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. Now, we have an ace actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui who will be seen in a never seen avatar. The actor looks powerful in the trailer of Haddi, as he is set on a journey to play the role of a transgender.

The trailer for Haddi just dropped today and looks as intriguing as ever. Nawaz, playing the character of a transgender grabs the spotlight. The trailer is a tale of vengeance and is directed by debutant director Akshat Ajay Sharma. Along with Nawaz, the film also features Ila Arun, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Sachdeva. Shridhar Dubey, Rajesh Kumar, Vipin Sharma, and Saharsh Shukla. The film is a hard-hitting noir revenge drama.

As soon as the trailer dropped, netizens went gaga over Nawazuddin’s character and the gripping storyline. As Sushmita Sen aced the role of transgender perfectly, our excitement level has gone beyond the roof. The film is one of the most anticipated ones and is gearing up for an OTT release on Zee 5 which will begin streaming on September 7.

Previously, the director had said, “Haddi circles around the intoxicating world of vengeance, violence, and power. Delving into the very essence of a criminal’s psyche. It highlights the ruthlessness of the society. It took me a lot of time to flesh out characters and craft this politician-mobster-transgender drama. With bated breath, I am truly hoping that ‘Haddi’ exceeds every expectation, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of our audience on ZEE5.”
