TV celebs mourn Preksha Mehta death

Television actress Preksha Mehta committed suicide on May 25. She was just 25. The ‘Crime Patrol’ actress hanged herself to death at her Indore (Madhya Pradesh) residence. Reports suggest that she was disappointed with the way her career was shaping up.

Several television celebs like Arjun Bijlani, Karan Kundrra and Surbhi Chandna took to social media to express their grief and mourn the young actress’ sudden demise.

Karan Kundrra took to his Twitter handle and expressing how we all need to talk about mental health more wrote, “‘Sabse bura hota hai sapno ka marr jaana’ another television actor has committed suicide and this is what she posted last on her Instagram #prekshamehta this is extremely sad! You were so young.. you had your entire life in front of you! We need to talk more about mental health..”

He further added, “A look at her Instagram shows nothing out of the ordinary, which just shows how much more we need to care about people around us in these tough times and not just assume they’re fine! RIP little one, we shall pray for you! This too shall pass!”

Arjun Bijlani mourning Preksha’s death wrote, “Heard another actor committed suicide. Condolences to the family. #PrekshaMehta rip.” And Surbhi Chandana expressing her shock wrote, “Devastating.”

Whereas Divya Agarwal took to her Instagram stories and sharing a picture of Preksha wrote, “Suicide is not an option, guys. I know life is difficult, fight it. RIP girl.”

Preksha was best known for featuring in shows like ‘Crime Patrol’, ‘Laal Ishq’ and ‘Meri Durga’. In the last few weeks, this is the second suicide in the television industry after Manmeet Grewal, who committed suicide, as he was depressed due to the financial woes caused by the lockdown.
