Rannvijay Singha announced his exit from the adventure reality show Roadies after 18 long years leaving fans heartbroken. Rannvijay started out in Roadies as a contestant in the first season and bagged the trophy, post that he began hosting the show to accompanying Raghu and Rajiv in auditing the contestants. Then Rannvijay went on to be a mentor and team leader, but now his journey has finally come to an end. It is said that Rannvijay will be replaced by actor Sonu Sood on the show.

If the latest reports are anything to go by, then it is said that Rannvijay’s departure has come after a rift caused by a new production house’s takeover. As per a report by Hindustan Times, a source revealed, “A new production house is looking after the nineteenth season, and Rannvijay isn’t very pleased with them. So they decided to part ways”.

Talking about his journey on Roadies, Rannvijay told HT, “A new production house is looking after the nineteenth season, and Rannvijay isn’t very pleased with them. So they decided to part ways”. Talking about rumours of his rift with the production house, he said, “I’ve been working with the channel for 18 years. I’ve done different shows with the network. Production house aur mera koi taal mel hai nahi.”

Further reports say that Sonu Sood will be replacing Rannvijay on the show and he will also be the only mentor-host this year. The concept of gang leaders Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula, and others has been dropped and we will not be seeing them this season. The new season of Roadies will be shot in South Africa which will begin filming on February 14.
