Shailesh Lodha on winning lawsuit against Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi: The fight was never about money

One of the most loved and most watched TV shows Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been making rounds on the internet for several reasons. Taarak Mehta aka Shalesh Lodha had dropped out of the show last year. The actor had filed a lawsuit against Asit Modi for his pending dues. Not just this, he also had sued the production company. The hearing for the matter was held in the month of May and it has fallen in the favor of Taarak Mehta aka Shailesh Lodha.

Shailesh Lodha wins suit against TMKOC producer Asit Modi

ETimes reported that as the verdict came out in Shailesh Lodha’s favour, the court stated, ‘as per the settlement terms a sum of INR 1,05,84,000 are being paid by way of demand draft by Asit Modi to Shailesh Lodha’. The actor had approached the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for the clearance of dues. Through a virtual hearing, the matter was heard and was settled between the parties according to consent terms by the counsel for the parties.

The actor is quite happy with the verdict and is also grateful to the National Company Law Tribunal. Shailesh said, “This fight was never about the money, it was about seeking justice and self-respect. I feel like I have won a battle and I’m happy that the truth has prevailed,” as quoted by ETimes.

Asit Modi on facing controversies

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Modi has been in controversies since actress Jennifer Mistry accused him of sexual harassment. Well, not just this, shocking allegations were also made over him by Monika Badhoriya and Priya Ahuja. In an interview with IANS, the producer has opened about the same as he said, “Emotionally I feel sad. As I consider everyone like my family. And, again I am saying I have never done anything wrong to anyone. I have tried to keep everyone happy because I am giving happiness every day through my show. Hence, I try to keep my team also very happy, and in a nice and positive atmosphere.”
