The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has sought financial help for their member and actor Shiv Kumar Verma who is struggling for his life after being diagnosed with COPD. The actor was seen in movies like ‘Halla Bol’ that also starred Ajay Devgn.

The official Twitter account of CINTAA tweeted about Shiv Kumar Verma’s health and asked for financial help in order to take care of the hospital expenses. Verma has been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and he was also suspected of Covid-19. The TV body tweeted multiple times about the same and tagged a lot of Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol and Vidya Balan. The tweet read, “AN URGENT CALL FOR HELP! CINTAA Member Shivkumar Verma is suffering from COPD and is also suspected of COVID-19. He is in need of urgent funds for hospital expenses. We humbly urge you to please help by donating whatever you can @actormanojjoshi @amitbehl @BeingSalmanKhan”

Amit Behl who is also a member of CINTAA told Hindustan Times that he immediately transferred Rs 50,000 after hearing the news. He also said that Shiv Kumar was an active member of the TV body and it was his daughter who approached them for help.

Amit said, “The reports (for coronavirus) may take time but we are preparing for the worse. As soon as we could manage to get details of his bank account, we posted the social media message seeking help. He is suffering from multiple issues.”

The report also further stated that the total cost of his treatment over the next 10 days is likely to be around Rs 3-4 lakh, revealed a letter from the hospital.
