The Kapil Sharma Show: Sumona Chakravarti shares pic from the set, Archana Puran Singh confirms a twist

The Kapil Sharma Show is all set to return to the small screen with a bang. Rumours are circulating that Sumona Chakravarti aka Bhoori, will not appear in the new show. After the rumours spread on the internet, die-hard fans of the comedy show were outraged. Sumona was not in any of the photos shared by the cast of TKSS on social media recently. This fueled speculation that the Bengali beauty would not appear in the upcoming season.

Archana Puran Singh, a special judge on the show, has put an end to all these speculations. During an interview with Aaj Tak, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress confirmed that Sumona will appear on The Kapil Sharma Show. Sumona will appear in the show but in a different avatar,

Archana told Aaj Tak, “If you think that Sumona is not in the show, then you are going to get a surprise soon. There is Sumona in the show but her avatar will be very different, but we will have the same lovely Sumona.”

Sumona has been playing the role of Bhoori on The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS) for the past three years. She gained a lot of popularity after featuring in a special role in TKSS. Interestingly, Sumona also shared a photo from the set of TKSS on social media announcing that she is ‘Back to work’. The picture posted by Sumona has her striking a pose with a team member of TKSS.

The comedy show went off-air in February this year and is now returning in an all-new avatar that incorporates online interaction with the audience. The makers have also got a new set designed.

The show will return on television on August 21. Besides Kapil, Archana and Sumona, the new season of the show will also feature Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Sudesh Lahiri, and Chandan Prabhakar. They have already shot with the cast of upcoming films Bhuj: The Pride of India and BellBottom
