Vipul Roy Accuses Domestic Help Of Rs 7 Lakh Theft; Police Begin Investigation

TV actor and host Vipul Roy filed a complaint after noticing that foreign currency, silver, gold, and diamond jewellery were missing from his home. Vipul accused his maid of theft, alleging she stole foreign currency along with gold and diamond ornaments. The complaint was lodged in Mumbai on Tuesday, and police stated they are currently gathering information about the maid before taking further action.

Vipul Roy Alleges Domestic Help Of Rs 7 Lakh Theft

Vipul filed the complaint against a maid he hired from an online platform. He alleged that she stole Rs 5 lakh in foreign currency. It included Rs 2 lakh worth of gold and diamond ornaments from his residence in the Khar area. In his complaint, Vipul identified her as Dipali Kharwa, according to police sources and by PTI.

Vipul claimed that Dipali had previously worked at his home multiple times. He had rehired her a few days ago. He stated that when he was about to leave for work, he checked his cupboard drawers and realised that several valuables were missing. The actor filed the police complaint after returning from abroad, police said.

What All Were Stolen?

According to reports, Vipul mentioned in his complaint that approximately 30 notes of 100 dollars, 7,000 dirhams, and 14,500 Thai baht—collectively worth Rs 5 lakh—were stolen. Additionally, a silver bracelet valued at Rs 85,000 and gold diamond rings worth Rs 1.25 lakh were also taken. Police are currently investigating and gathering details about Dipali before proceeding further. Vipul has not yet posted about the incident on social media.

He made his film debut with Akshay Kumar’s Bachchhan Paandey in 2022. Vipul was previously in a relationship with US citizen Melis Atici, whom he got engaged to in 2018. The couple married in December 2021, and their daughter, Iris, was born in September 2022.
