Amazon Prime is here with something for everyone. The international streaming platform has announced its exciting new slate and it has a variety of shows that are sure to entertain you. From Rana Daggubati’s talk show The Rana Connection to Uorfi Javed’s Follow Kar Lo Yaar and Bhumi Pednekar-led Daldal to Vijay Varma’s Matka King, the list is long.

Fallout

Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Based on one of the greatest video game series, the show is set two hundred years after the apocalypse where the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind. They are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

The show stars Ella Purnell as Lucy, an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American can-do spirit, Aaron Moten as Maximus, a young soldier who rises to the rank of squire in the militaristic faction called Brotherhood of Steel and Walton Goggins as the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter who holds within him a 200-year history of the post-nuclear world. The series will also star Moisés Arias, Kyle MacLachlan, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones

Matka King (Hindi) 

Set in 1960s Mumbai, this fictional tale is about an enterprising cotton trader who craves legitimacy and respect. Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the Amazon Original sees him start a new gambling game dubbed ‘Matka’, which takes the city by storm and democratizes a terrain previously reserved for the rich and elite. Produced By: Siddharth Roy Kapur, Nagaraj Manjule, Gargi Kulkarni, Ashish Aryan, and Ashwini Sidwani, it features Vijay Varma in the lead role. 

Dupahiya (Hindi)

Dupahiya is about a village on the cusp of celebrating 25 years of being crime-free. However, chaos ensues when a coveted motorbike gets stolen! With the silver jubilee trophy, a wedding, and the pride of the villagers at stake, what follows is a crazy journey to retrieve the bike before it’s too late. Directed by Sonam Nair, it stars Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Bhuvan Arora, Sparsh Srivastava, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles. 

Snakes and Ladders (Tamil)

Snakes and Ladders is centred around four reckless kids. It follows them as they try to cover up an accident and find themselves caught in dangerous situations, including being chased by cops, dim-witted thugs, and their own bad choices. Directed by Bharath Muralidharan, Ashok Veerappan, and Kamala Alchemis, it stars Naveen Chandra, Muthu Kumar, Nandaa, Srinda, Manoj Bharathiraja, Ramachandran, Sreejith Ravi, Samrit Surya, Rageshwar Surya, Kumar Tharun, and Sasha Bharen.

The Rana Connection (Telugu)

The Rana Connection is a curiosity-piquing talk show hosted by celebrated actor Rana Daggubati. The show will feature him interacting with his friends and contemporaries from Indian cinema.   

Gangs Kuruthi Punal (Tamil)

In this fictional period action drama, a tale of revenge fuels a bloody power struggle within the first organized gang of a port city. Replete with smugglers, dealers, pornographers, film stars, aristocrats, and politicians, this larger-than-life series weaves a gripping narrative of ambition, betrayal, and a relentless power struggle. Directed by Noah, it stars Sathyaraj, Ashok Selvan, Nasser, Nimisha Sajayan, Ritika Singh, and Easwari Rao.

Rangeen (Hindi)

Confronted with an uncomfortable truth about his marriage, a middle-aged husband takes an unusual path, forcing him to re-evaluate his ideas of manhood and morality. Directed by Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua, the Amazon Original stars Vineet Kumar Singh, Rajashri Deshpande, and Taaruk Raina.

The Great Indian Code (Hindi)

The Great Indian Code is the story of a bunch of humble and visionary middle-class engineers, who led by a meek-looking gentleman in the eighties created a company that led the biggest wealth-generating industry India had ever seen: the IT industry. Set between the 70s and 90s, this story follows the middle-class heroes who, holding onto their values, fought against the time, traditions, and technological backwardness to create a software revolution. The Amazon Original is directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and written by Shubham Sharma.

Khauf (Hindi)

Khauf centres on a young woman who moves into a hostel room in Delhi, unaware of its dark history of violence and hidden secrets. Grappling with the shadows of her troubled past, she finds herself entangled in a struggle against unexplained forces that manifest both within the confines of the room and outside. Directed by Pankaj Kumar and Surya Balakrishnan, it stars Monika Panwar, Rajat Kapoor, Abhishek Chauhan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, and Shilpa Shukla.

Arabia Kadali (Telugu)

Arabia Kadali is a fictional suspense drama series that revolves around a group of fishermen from rival villages who inadvertently trespass into international waters and find themselves imprisoned in a foreign jail. It stars Satya Dev and Anandhi.

The Revolutionaries (Hindi)

The Revolutionaries is an adaptation of Sanjeev Sanyal’s book of the same name. It revolves around brave young Indian freedom fighters who believed that armed resistance was crucial to ending the British Raj. It is the story of their lives, sacrifices, and undying love for their country.      

Daldal (Hindi)

Starring Bhumi Pednekar as Mumbai’s newly appointed DCP Rita Ferreira, Daldal centres around her character being haunted by the guilt of her past and dealing with the demons of her present. It sees her embark on an investigation of a series of murders that puts her on a collision course with a cold-blooded serial killer, as she tries to save her life from falling apart.

Inspector Rishi

Inspector Rishi is a supernatural horror series, that sees the crime branch inspector investigate a string of peculiar murders intertwined with supernatural occurrences. It stars Naveen Chandra, Sunainaa, Kanna Ravi, Malini Jeevarathinam, Srikrishna Dayal and Kumaravel.

Andhera (Hindi)

In the shadow of Mumbai’s shimmering skyline, a sinister force hunts the living. In this visceral tale of urban horror, a fearless cop and a haunted medical student must take on this living darkness to avert impending doom. Directed by Raaghav Dar, it stars Priya Bapat, Karanvir Malhotra, Prajakta Koli, Surveen Chawla, Vatsal Sheth, Parvin Dabas, and Pranay Pachauri in pivotal roles 

In Transit (Hindi)

‘In Transit’ is a documentary series produced by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby Digital LLP. It explores the lives of trans and non-binary individuals navigating love, identity, and the boundaries of gender in a uniquely Indian way.

Daring Partners (Hindi)

Two best friends embark on a daring journey as partners in an alcohol start-up. The series – featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty in lead roles, narrates the duo’s audacious journey, where they challenge norms, bend rules, and ‘craft’ their destiny within a male-dominated industry. The Dharmatic Entertainment Pvt Ltd show, directed by Archit Kumar, also stars Jaaved Jaaferi as a pivotal character. 

The Tribe

Young, unafraid and chasing an epic dream, The Tribe are a group of Indian influencers who have been set up to crack global fame in Los Angeles! Are they ambitious or asking for trouble?
