A two-day, close-knit affair? A CLOSE FRIEND spills the beans on Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja wedding
The love saga of Sonam Kapoor and her beau Anand Ahuja is not at all hidden to any. And if we go by the latest developments, the lovey-dovey pair are all set to take a step ahead and get married next month. The couple will get hitched in the second week of may (May 11 and 12) with a destination wedding in Switzerland. It will be a week-long blissful wedding time and Sonam’s family and close friends from the industry will be taking a break from their work to attend the same.
Elaborating on the same, Sonam’s close buddy stated to DNA,
“Most of us are flying out of Mumbai. Anand’s family and some of Sonam’s relatives will probably fly from Delhi. The marriage and other ceremonies are being planned as a two-day affair. But, we have to leave room for some impromptu events. I’m planning to keep myself free for at least four days, not to forget the to and fro travel.”
Well, whatsoever may be the truth in this gossip, one thing is for sure; this close-knit marriage is surely going to create a lot of stir in the Alps and here too. *hehehehe* (Also Read: Dutt biopic: Brace yourselves, is this when the teaser of Ranbir-starrer would hit the screens?)
Jackie Shroff to play Salman Khan's father in 'Bharat'?
Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming film, ‘Bharat’ is getting bigger by the day! The film stars Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani, Tabu, Sunil Grover and Shashank Arora. And now, there is news that Jackie Shroff will be joining this ensemble cast!
As per a report on Bollywood Hungama, Jackie will be seen essaying the role of Salman’s father in the film. A source was quoted by the website as, “The role of Salman’s father may not be a big one but it’s pivotal to the film and shapes Salman’s character and who he becomes later. It was Salman who wanted Jackie to play this powerful role.”
The source adds, “It starts in 1947 when the Partition takes place and thousands of families are separated and ends in 2000. The movie is the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.”
‘Bharat’ is an adaptation of the Korean film, and talking about same, the source further said, “‘Ode To My Father’ begins with the Hungnam Evacuation in 1950 when many families got separated in Korea and the father tells his son Yoon Deok-soo, ‘If I don’t come you are the head of the family that means whatever happens you put the family first. Now, that you are the head of the family, look after them well.’ Jackie plays Salman’s father and his words remain with the young boy (Salman) right till the end. They get separated during the Partition in Bharat but his father’s words and desire to reunite with him remains right till the end.”
‘Bharat’ has been modified according to the Indian audiences, but the source claims, “Like ‘Ode To My Father’, which spans over many years, ‘Bharat’s story will span over a period of 50 years and that’s why we will see Salman Khan sporting five different looks in the movie – as a young boy who witnesses the Partition to the current years when he is an old man. As the firstborn, Bharat becomes his family’s breadwinner from an early age, doing all manner of odd jobs to support the family.”
“The film begins from a modern day elderly couple (Salman and Priyanka) reminiscing about their past and how they fell in love and got married. So we will get to see a very young Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan and old ones too. There are flashbacks to various phases of time. Like Ode To My Father which depicted Korean history from the 1950s till the recent times, Bharat too will highlight various important events of Indian history,” added the source
Reportedly, the film will be shot at Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, Abu Dhabi, Spain and Malta. ‘Bharat’ will release next year during Eid.
