A two-day, close-knit affair? A CLOSE FRIEND spills the beans on Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja wedding
The love saga of Sonam Kapoor and her beau Anand Ahuja is not at all hidden to any. And if we go by the latest developments, the lovey-dovey pair are all set to take a step ahead and get married next month. The couple will get hitched in the second week of may (May 11 and 12) with a destination wedding in Switzerland. It will be a week-long blissful wedding time and Sonam’s family and close friends from the industry will be taking a break from their work to attend the same.
Elaborating on the same, Sonam’s close buddy stated to DNA,
“Most of us are flying out of Mumbai. Anand’s family and some of Sonam’s relatives will probably fly from Delhi. The marriage and other ceremonies are being planned as a two-day affair. But, we have to leave room for some impromptu events. I’m planning to keep myself free for at least four days, not to forget the to and fro travel.”
Well, whatsoever may be the truth in this gossip, one thing is for sure; this close-knit marriage is surely going to create a lot of stir in the Alps and here too. *hehehehe* (Also Read: Dutt biopic: Brace yourselves, is this when the teaser of Ranbir-starrer would hit the screens?)
Sara Ali Khan's mom Amrita Singh too desperate for daughter's debut?
Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan was to make her Bollywood debut from Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ which got delayed due to the issues between the producer and the director of the film and so Sara will now be making her debut with Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar‘s ‘Simmba’
But seems like more than Sara, her mom Amrita Singh has become way too desperate for her daughter’s debut. ‘Simmba’ is the official Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Temper’. The original film didn’t have the leading lady much to do in the film and Amrita doesn’t want it to be repeated with Sara as it’s her debut film.
According to the reports by Mid-Day, Amrita has asked Karan and Rohit to make sure that Sara has a meaty role to play in the film.
A source revealed to Mid-Day, “The movie has a message about women’s safety, with an emphasis on Sara’s character. While the leading lady in the Telugu original served only as the love interest, her character will be more involved in the story.”
“The writers are reworking the parts of both, the leading man and his love interest. Since this is Sara Ali Khan’s debut film, Amrita was clear that she shouldn’t be overshadowed by Ranveer.” added the source.
Well, we totally understand what Amrita might be feeling at this point as she doesn’t want to compromise with her daughter’s career at any given point and ‘Simmba’ is going to be her launch pad.
Karan Johar's dance performance at Sonam Kapoor's sangeet!
Sonam Kapoor‘s wedding to her longtime businessman boyfriend Anand Ahuja is the talk of the town. Though the couple hasn’t made any official announcement of the same but reports suggests that might tie the knot anytime this year. The wedding preparations are going on in full swing in the Kapoor household. But guess what we get to hear now, Karan Johar too will be performing at Sonam’s Sangeet ceremony.
Yes, you read that absolutely right, a close source told BollywoodLife, “Rehearsals are in full swing. Karan is also very excited as he is performing on the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And the fact that he is dancing to the steps of his best friend, Farah is like a cherry on the cake. All of them are having too much fun while preparing for their acts.”
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Sonam’s dad and actor Anil Kapoor and mom Sunita will be putting together a special act. Sonam’s cousins and extended family have joined in as well for the pre-wedding preps.
Sonam is dating Anand for a while now and there were also many speculations about the couple shifting to London after their marriage as Anand hails from London. Though there has been no confirmation on it up until now.
Meanwhile, Sonam is currently busy with her upcoming release ‘Veere Di Wedding’ alongwith Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
