Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Gulab Jamun’ shoot to begin in January 2019?

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are one of the most formidable couples of Bollywood. The husband-wife had recently signed ‘Gulab Jamun’. According to reports, the film will begin its shooting in January 2019.

Aishwarya and Abhishek will play a married couple in ‘Gulab Jamun’ which chronicles around three generations and could be considered as a slice-of-life film. There are also speculations that Big B i.e. Amitabh Bachchan may also be part of the project.

According to DNA, Anurag Kashyap (the producer) plans to commence shooting of ‘Gulab Jamun’ in January 2019. The change in dynamics between Anurag and Abhishek has been nothing short of a miracle. They united for ‘Manmarziyan’ amid reports of a fallout between them during the making of ‘Yuva’. Abhishek Bachchan has reiterated that he wants to do movies after returning from a break of two years. Abhishek has also been busy with his other commercial interests and other projects as an entrepreneur.

In an interview to PinkVilla, Abhishek said, “Gulab Jamun’ is a very sweet script which Sarvesh Mewara has written and he is going to be directing it. It’s the film we both liked very much and we both really want to do. When we will be doing it, we haven’t decided.”

The return of Abhi-Aish will be a unique experience for this generation as the duo were last seen in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’ in 2007 – a film rumoured to be based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani. ‘Gulab Jamun’ is being directed by debutant Sarvesh Mewara.
