Here is why Alia Bhatt did not attend Neetu Kapoor’s birthday bash in Paris?

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the brand new lovebirds of Bollywood. Since the time Ranbir went public with his relationship with the ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ actress, all eyes have been on the couple. Alia was seen bonding with Ranbir’s family over dinner dates and had also showered love not only by Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor but also sister Riddhima.

Rumors also suggested that the actress will be zooming off to Paris to ring in Neetu’s 60th birthday with the Kapoor’s.

So recently when Neetu Kapoor celebrated her 60th birthday in Paris with just close family members, we tried sporting Alia too in these pic, but couldn’t. Fans too were in for a disappointment as Alia was not to be seen with the Kapoor Khandaan.

And now as per sources, Alia actaully avoided the birthday bash on the request of a special person.

As reported by Deccan Chronicles, Alia Bhatt’s father, director Mahesh Bhatt had asked the actress to not call off her work commitment and attend Neetu Kapoor’s birthday in Paris, “Bhatt Sahab always wants actors to do their best when they are at the peak of their careers. The younger generation does like to mix work with pleasure, but it was on her father’s advice that Alia decided to go to work instead of attending the birthday celebration.”

No, the filmmaker has no issues with his daughter’s relationship with the ‘Barfi’ star. Infact he was recently seen bonding with Ranbir at Alia’s home. Pictures of the three spending time together had set the social media buzzing with excitement.

Bhatt had even praised the ‘Sanju’ star in a recent interview and said, “I like and love him very much. He has got a core far deeper than what cinema space can capture.”

Though Alia missed the birthday bash, she did wish Neetu Kapoor and also shared a cute throwback picture from the veteran actress’ earlier visit to Bulgaria.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are working together for Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. Alia also has ‘Gully Boy’ with Ranveer Singh and ‘Kalank’ with Varun Dhawan in her kitty.

Ranbir Kapoor will soon kickstart work on Yash Raj Films’ ‘Shamshera’ and Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Ajay Devgn.

Coming September, we are going to witness a brand new pairing on the silver screen. The new B-town Jodi is none other than ‘Sui Dhaaga’s duo Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan. Since their film is nearing its release, i.e 28th September, the two are all prepped up to promote the film across the nation.

Anushka and Varun’s spirit to spread a word about their movie has reached to an extent where the duo have informed their respective teams to allocate good 40-days for the promotions. A source close to DNA said, “Varun and Anushka saw the first cut of the trailer this week and both of them were overwhelmed. They want to take the movie’s heartfelt message to as many people as possible. While most actors allocate just about 20 days for promotions these days, they are both giving 40 days each because they are super-confident about the film.”

When the leading daily got in touch with ‘Sui Dhaaga’s director, Maneesh Sharma, he too praised the jodi of his upcoming venture. Sharma said, “Varun and Anushka are exceptional performers and they have outdone themselves in ‘Sui Dhaaga’. They had believed in the core message of the film since the day we narrated it to them and they have told us that they are eagerly looking forward to sharing their conviction with the audiences. It is a dream project for Yash Raj Films and we intend to passionately promote a film that we are incredibly confident about.”

It is so good to hear that Varun and Anushka are wholeheartedly dedicated for the film. We hope that their efforts do not go in vain. What do you think?

Speaking about the movie ‘Sui Dhaaga-Made In India’, it is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy and takes inspiration from the government’s Make In India campaign. While Varun plays the role of a tailor, Anushka plays an embroiderer in the film.
