Ranbir Kapoor-Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ to have a sequel?

Where some people left the theatres in awe of ‘Sanju’ after watching the biopic on Sanjay Dutt; some were a little disappointed as the film didn’t manage to show all aspects of Dutt’s life. And now, here is some good news for all the people who were complaining about the same. If reports are to be believed, a sequel to ‘Sanju’, which starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, is on the cards.

A report in DNA states that we might get to see a sequel to the film. According to the report, the writer, Abhijat Joshi had earlier shared during an interaction that the makers have barely used about 150-page material from the life of Sanjay Dutt, out of over 750 pages material from the actor’s life.

Meanwhile, we had recently reported that Sanjay Dutt had gotten emotional after watching the film and had hugged both, Ranbir and Hirani.

Rajkumar Hirani, in an interview with ABP news, had shared that after watching the film, Sanjay had mentioned that ‘Sanju’ should have a sequel; but Hirani wasn’t convinced with that idea. He had told both, Sanjay and Ranbir, that he won’t make a sequel to the film because “A person can have only one biopic.”

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who along with her co-star Jacqueline Fernandez, took the social media platform to announce the film ‘Drive’ has hit the roadblock. While there were reports that Karan Johar the producer of the film was unhappy with the final product later asked for a reshoot of close to 25 days. Well, why wasn’t the reshoot done?

The actors apparently have moved on to their respective projects and are finding it difficult to give out 25 days form their calendar which already seems packed. Karan Johar is trying his best to put reshoot the film and put the film together but the actor’s dates is a major hiccup.

According to the reports, Karan Johar has asked director Tarun Mansukhani to reshoot certain sequences, without which ‘Drive’ may not see the light of the day. Initially, the thriller was to release in 2017 but it was later postponed to March 2018. However, going by the delays, including the last one, it seems like ‘Drive’ may not even release this year.

This is not the first time that Karan Johar and his protege Tarun Mansukhani have had creative differences. There were also reports about Tarun directing ‘Dostana 2’ but due to creative differences, even that film was put on hold.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh is busy shooting for the Hindi remake of ‘Fault In Our Stars’ which is titled ‘Kizie Aur Manny’. Whereas Jacqueline Fernandez has just returned for her Da-Bangg tour which recently took place in the USA and Canada.

Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’ star cast is getting bigger by the day. After roping in South superstar Nagarjuna, the makers of this superhero film are reportedly getting the veteran actress and Twinkle Khanna’s mother, Dimple Kapadia on-board. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress will be joining the second schedule of ‘Brahmastra’ in Bulgaria soon.

Interestingly, Kapadia will be paired opposite Nagarjuna in the film. A source close to the leading daily said, “She will be seen opposite Nagarjuna in the film. It is to Karan’s credit that he could get the nod from Dimple.”

It will be a great sight to witness the actress creating magic on-screen, as she is returning back to Bollywood after a period of three years. Kapadia was last seen in ‘Welcome Back‘ starring John Abraham and ‘Finding Fanny’, featuring Deepika Padukone and Arjun Kapoor.

 

Talking about ‘Brahmastra’, it is a superhero fantasy film which will be made into three parts. The first schedule of the film has already been shot and the second one has just begun. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be joining Alia, Ranbir, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna on the sets soon.
