Sanjay Dutt Lok Sabha polls

Bollywood has over the years been closely associated with politics in one way or the other. Over the years, we have seen many stars campaigning for political parties and also contesting elections. Now, as we all know, dates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections have been announced. The polls are starting from April 11 and results will be declared on May 23.

Now, it looks like Sanjay Dutt is ready to follow in his late father Sunil Dutt’s footsteps and contest elections. The latest buzz is that says that the ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ actor is expected to be contesting the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections.

As per the media reports doing the rounds, the ‘Vaastav’ actor would be contesting from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad constituency in the elections just around the corner. As per a News18 report, “SP-BSP combine can play the stakes on Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt to give them a hit.”

For those who are unaware, Sanju’s father Sunil Dutt was a member of the Congress party and also a union minister. Dutt saab served as the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports in the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government for a brief period of about a year that ended with his demise. Sanjay Dutt’s sister Priya Dutt has also been an MP from Mumbai North West.
