Randeep Hooda LFW 2017

Whether it’s blurring the lines between sexes on the runway with wacky accessories or creating one garment intended for both men and women, the sheer idea of fashion androgyny chimes with the these progressive times. If you thought Ranveer Singh has been making a fool of himself by slipping into a pair of sexy gladiators, that flared skirt or a burkha at the airport, think again. Thank god, B-town is showing signs of an evolution and men aren’t afraid of experimenting anymore.

Recently, Bollywood hunk Randeep Hooda turned showstopper for Raza Beig’s Splash India at Lakme Fashion Week 2017. The collection was titled ‘Splash Between Worlds’ and it indeed was. His never-seen-before avatar left everyone stunned. The birthday boy looked rugged in his a long hair and beard look and managed to get all eyes hooked onto him. But his ensemble was a mix of manly man pieces and an unmissable element of androgyny, a style statement that removes the ‘for him/for her’ concept.

Randeep donned smart formals with studded shoes but mixed it up with this unique accessory we’re drooling over. Well, you must have seen men sporting funky leather bracelets and those trademark skull necklaces, but have you seen a man pull off heavy, multi-layered neck chains that hit way below the navel (almost covering the torso)? Well, we haven’t either. We’re glad Randeep that you gave us some serious food for thought when it comes to fashion boundaries.

Today, there’s a certain rising receptivity amongst fashionistas. Yeah, many people may not be pleased or fascinated with such offbeat choices, but things that were once strictly off limits, are now gaining popularity by a mass audience.

So, bring it out, peeps. We love seeing men in nose rings, necklaces, long wavy hair and skirts. Maybe, one in a 100 might look good in them, but it’s totally soothing to our eyes!
