Shilpa taped for the grand finale of ‘Super Dancer 2’ recently in Mumbai wearing an oxblood-coloured saree gown from Manish Malhotra that flattered her olive skin. This uber sexy number had sequin detail, and had a sultry corset torso-like blouse that was attached to a floor length dress with a thigh-high slit. The outfit had a gorgeous sheer low-back and even the midriff was gracefully covered in see-through panels.

Stylist Sanjana Batra picked on the colour of the outfit and added stunning ruby and diamond jewellery that took the look from ‘good’ to ‘fantabulous’. The best part about her jewellery was the fact that all the pieces were from different labels and yet they were flawlessly complementing each other. We almost thought that she’s wearing a custom-made matching set. Her exquisite necklace from Araya Fine Jewels had three lines of cascading diamonds and Mozambique rubies that looked more than royal. The stack of diamond bracelets and rings were from Mahesh Notandas and earrings from Jaipur Jewels.

We just wish that makeup artist Ajay Shelar had ditched the subtle version of the marsala lip colour and picked a contrasting shade instead. The actress left her hair open in voluminous soft curls, which she should do away with now and experiment more often. When you have such lovely tresses, why limit yourself to a few standard hairdos?

The diva went smokey with her eyes and rounded off the look with muted beige sandals that balanced the shimmery effect. The woman totally deserves a salute in her own style for this gorg look. So, here’s a sashtang dandavat pranam for you, Shilpa!
