Rani Mukerji

Rani, did you just borrow your dear husband Aditya Chopra’s trousers for a hot summer day in Mumbai? Understandably, you’ve been caught up in the whirlwind of your newly-acquired motherhood status and are surely enjoying this blissful phase of life. But what’s the excuse for those hideous brown pants and the cherry on top (deadly pun intended)… that pair of black heels?

Trust us, we are big fans of comfort over style and also “Atrangi” dressing sense any day. What’s so fun about dressing up just like everyone else and looking like fashion clones? Hmm, how about taking inspiration from Ranveer Singh who amuses us with his cool, hatke style all the time? So, lady, you cannot forget that we are in 2017 (remember her unforgivable short dresses, boots, and hairstyle (let’s not even get there) in ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’?). (Also Read: Amitabh Bachchan meets Rani Mukerji on ‘Hichki’ movie sets. Is he also a part of the movie?)

The dusky diva was recently spotted in Bandra, outside Mehboob studios, where she wrapped up the shooting of ‘Hichki’. She also acknowledged the media by flashing a cute smile and waving before getting inside her car. The white, sleeveless top was probably the only thing we could tolerate in that ensemble. The actress wore oversized, tan-coloured trousers with an awkward length that kept her history of fashion disasters alive and paired her look with brown sunglasses and a flashy, not-so-cool Gucci black belt. We’re still trying to figure out why Rani bought those black peep-toe wedges that added insult to the injury.

Okay, we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. Rani has always been a super duper actress and doesn’t really need a positive nod from the fashion police. Her work speaks for itself and she’s proved time and again that she’s far better than our gen-next stars who are dipped in style from head to toe but can’t reach anywhere near her acting prowess.

We just hope the actress manages to keep up with the times and shows up in trendier outfits in the future. Until then, let’s wait patiently, folks!
