Ali Fazal's interview on racism

Ali Fazal is all ready and excited about the release of his upcoming Hollywood film ‘Victoria & Abdul‘. As many would be aware that the actor will be seen playing the title role of Abdul, sharing the screen space with veteran Hollywood star Judi Dench, who plays Queen Victoria. Recently, the actor was asked about his views on racism and if he feels its existence. To which, the actor shared that he believes that racism has always existed and it will continue to exist in future too. But, he is one of those lucky few to have never experienced it.

The actor spoke about it in an interview on the sidelines of the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2017 where he said, “I don’t think it is (racism) out of the picture. Further, he added saying that he himself has never faced any hate comment from anybody during his international journey as an actor. Ali said, “No, not at all… I think it (my Hollywood journey) has been very nice.” [sic]

Talking about his film ‘Victoria & Abdul‘, it is directed by Stephen Frears. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Shrabani Basu, it is slated to hit the screens on October 6, 2017 in India.

While, Ali’s next release in Bollywood is ‘Fukrey Returns’ which is slated to release on December 8, 2017. It is the sequel of the 2013 movie ‘Fukrey’ which was a sleeper hit.
