Earlier today, Thursday, June 12, a London-bound Air India flight near the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel airport in Ahmedabad soon after takeoff. As reports of the crash continue to circulate and rescue operations are also underway, several Indian actors, including Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt and others took to social media to share how ‘heartbroken’ they are by the incident.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media to express heartbreak over the devastating accident. He wrote, “Absolutely heartbroken with the news about the crash in Ahmedabad… my prayers for the victims, their families and all affected.” Aamir Khan Productions took to their X handle and wrote, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash that occurred today. At this moment of profound loss, our thoughts and condolences are with the families of those affected. We stand in solidarity with the individuals, communities, and responders impacted by this devastating event. Stay strong India.”

According to news agency ANI, a London-bound Air India plane, Flight AI 171, crashed at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Ahmedabad airport. Confirming the accident, Air India wrote on X, “Flight AI171, operating Ahmedabad-London Gatwick, was involved in an incident today, 12 June 2025. At this moment, we are ascertaining the details and will share further updates at the earliest on http://airindia.com and on our X handle.”
