Akshay Kumar Defends Bhooth Bangla Co-Star Wamiqa Gabbi Amid Comparisons To Aishwarya Rai; Says, “She Has Her Own Identity”

Akshay Kumar expressed his support for Bhooth Bangla co-star Wamiqa Gabbi amid ongoing comparisons to Aishwarya Rai. He praised her for maintaining her own unique identity and journey in the film industry. Currently starring alongside Wamiqa in Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla, Akshay recently defended her in a conversation, emphasising her individuality despite frequent comparisons.

Akshay Kumar Backs Wamiqa Gabbi Amid Comparisons To Aishwarya Rai

Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra, he said, “Her (Wamiqa’s) eyes are like Aishwarya Rai’s, but she has her own identity. She is doing things her own way. She entered the film industry after a lot of struggle. She worked in Punjabi films, and now she is working across Hindi, Telugu and Tamil cinema, exploring every genre.”

Wamiqa Responded To Comaprisons With Aishwarya Rai

Wamiqa herself has responded to such comparisons with a sense of humour. Many social media users have even called her “Aishwarya’s daughter” because of her resemblance. When an influencer inquired about her PR strategy behind these comparisons, Wamiqa replied, “Talented aur khoobsurat bhi? Uff, thaaaank you. And baaki sab ka pata nahi, but we did try ‘Wamiqa for next President!’ approve nahi hua (Talented and beautiful too? Thank you. I don’t know about the rest, but we did try ‘Wamiqa for next President,’ but that wasn’t approved).”

There has been speculation among fans that the pairing of Akshay and Wamiqa might recreate the magic he once shared with Katrina Kaif. Meanwhile, Wamiqa’s striking eyes often lead to comparisons with Aishwarya. Addressing these, Akshay highlighted that Wamiqa has carved her own distinct path in the industry and continues to make her mark confidently.
